Reliable cake mixes are one of the items a professional cake maker and decorator simply can't trade without.

Culpitt Select Raspberry & White Chocolate Flavour Cake Mix is made in the UK from high quality ingredients and includes delicious chocolate chip and raspberry fruit pieces. This mix is the perfect blend of ingredients to help save time spent on baking. Simply add water to create excellent results every time. As a guide, 1kg of cake mix will make 2 x 8" cakes, approx 3" depth.

Instructions for use:

  • For a 6" round cake use 350g of cake batter
  • For an 8" round cake use 500g of cake batter
  • For a 10" round cake use 770g of cake batter
  • For a 12" round cake use 1300g of cake batter

It is advised to have a mix to water ratio of 1kg Cake Mix: 400ml Water (or add water gradually for your desired consistency)

Preheat the oven to Gas Mark 2 / Electric 150°C / Fan 130°C. Add 400ml/14fl oz of water per 1kg of cake mix to a machine bowl fitted with a beater. Beat on medium speed for approximately 5 minutes.

For 8” or 9” cakes, separate the mixture between two tins to reduce baking time. Cover the top of the tins with tin foil and bake until a skewer inserted into the cake comes out clean.Check after 35 minutes and reduce the oven temperature slightly if the cake requires more baking time. Please note the baking time will be considerably longer if baked in one tin instead of two.
