Culpitt Select Vegan Fruit Cake Mix is made from high quality ingredients in the UK. This mix is the perfect blend of ingredients to help save time spent on baking. Simply add water and oil to create excellent results every time.

Instructions for use: 1kg mix is sufficient to make a 7” round (6” square) cake.

Preheat oven to 160°C /Fan oven 140°C / Gas 3. Line a cake tin with baking parchment, bottom & sides. Put the cake mix into a large mixing bowl with 200ml of water and 75ml of vegetable oil. Mix by hand with a large wooden spoon for 1 minute. Scrape down the sides then mix for another minute.

Cover the top of the tin with tin foil and bake for approximately 1 ½ hours. To test if the cake is done, insert a sharp knife or skewer into the cake and it should come out just slightly sticky and the top of the cake should be firm to the touch.

Leave in the tin to cool then wrap in baking parchment and foil to store.

Optional: Pierce the top of the cake a few times with a skewer then drizzle over a little sherry, brandy or a mixture of both!
