Reliable cake mixes are one of the items a professional cake maker and decorator simply can't trade without.

Culpitt Select Chocolate Flavour Vegan Cake Mix is made from high quality ingredients in the UK. This mix is the perfect blend of ingredients to help save time spent on baking. Simply add water and oil to create excellent results every time. As a guide, 1kg of cake mix will make 2 x 8" cakes, approx 3" depth.

Instructions for use:

  • For a 6" round cake use 350g of cake batter
  • For an 8" round cake use 500g of cake batter
  • For a 10" round cake use 770g of cake batter
  • For a 12" round cake use 1300g of cake batter

Preheat oven to 170°C. Place 1kg of cake mix into machine bowl fitted with beater. Add 400g of water and 200g vegetable oil over one minute on slow speed. Mix for a further 5 minutes on medium speed. Divide into chosen tins and use a palette knife to spread until level.

Scale and bake guide:

  • Loaf Madeira tin – 500g - 45-50 minutes
  • 6 inch round cake tin – 600g - 55 minutes
  • 7 inch round cake tin – 700g - 60 minutes
  • Muffins 75-80g – 30 minutes
  • Traybake (10 inch x 12 inch)
